Biography

David M. Cole, MS, BCBA, is a doctoral student in the Neuroscience Program. As a member of Mona Buhusi's laboratory, he employs humans and animal models to study memory, time, and data visualization. His current research concerns optogenetics, temporal discounting, and performance management.

Previously, as a clinical consultant, supervisor, and director, he practiced behavior analysis with developmentally disabled populations across the United States. He obtained his bachelor's degree from Washington University in St. Louis and his master's degree from St. Cloud State University. He has sat on the board of the Four Corners Association for Behavior Analysis, maintains open-source software for graphing scientific data (http://observechange.org), and currently teaches an undergraduate course, Analysis of Behavior: Basic Principles. 

Outside of the laboratory, he rock climbs, alpine mountaineers, and backcountry skis.
