The Department of Psychology

The Psychology Department has a long-standing tradition of innovative research that has a powerful impact in the real world. The department offers experiences to undergraduate and graduate students through more than 30 active research programs and clinical experiences provided in partnership with dozens of USU and community partners, as well as numerous school districts.

Psychology department faculty actively collaborate with students on a variety of research projects including parenting interventions, interventions for individuals with anxiety disorders, impulsivity, Alzheimer's disease, child cognition, and more. Undergraduate students are strongly encouraged to complete additional psychology-related independent experiences throughout their undergraduate career, preparing them for employment or other educational experiences. Qualifying students can join Psi Chi, the International Honor Society in Psychology, which has an active chapter at USU.
