April Colloquium: G. Leonard Burns
The Department of Psychology is pleased to announce G. Leonard Burns, PhD as the April colloquium speaker. Dr. Burns will present on April 8, 2014, 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. in the Distance Education Building, Room 013. His presentation will be titled, Do Parents and Teachers Really Agree on the Occurrence of ADHD Symptoms?
"An ADHD diagnosis requires the occurrence of ADHD symptoms in two or more settings (e.g., home and school). Ratings of ADHD symptoms and academic impairment by mothers, fathers, teachers, and teachers’ aides across a short test-retest interval will be used to examine the usefulness of this diagnostic requirement for ADHD."
