PREREQUISITE REQUIREMENTS AND GRADUATE COURSE LISTINGS FOR THE SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGY PROGRAM

Program Prerequisites

All students must have successfully completed undergraduate course work (with a grade of B or better) in the following areas before beginning the School Psychology Program.

  • Abnormal Psychology: PSY 3210
  • Personality Theory: PSY 4210

Research Requirements

Students in the School Psychology program must complete a research-based thesis. This project may be completed with any of the faculty within the Psychology Department but is typically completed with core school psychology program faculty. Students may also engage with faculty on other research projects.

Graduate Program Course Requirements (Current As Of Fall 2015)

The program of study typically takes three years to complete: two years of coursework and a full-time academic year (9-month) internship in a public school during the third year.
